Privacy policy

reelnest is built to organize and protect the media, memories, and files you choose to add. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private file contents for advertising or to train public AI models.

Information we handle

• Account information: your name, email address, authentication details, plan, and account preferences.
• Billing information: subscription and transaction details. Payment-card and bank details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by reelnest.
• Service information: device, storage-usage, file-size, backup-status, sharing, diagnostic, and security-event information needed to operate and protect the service.
• Your files: files you choose to host or back up. Hosted file contents are encrypted in transit and while stored. Our systems are designed so reelnest does not need to inspect your personal file contents to provide storage.
• Waitlist information: the email address you submit and delivery status for launch messages.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, operate backups and libraries, enforce storage limits, process subscriptions, send service messages, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and comply with law. We share only what is necessary with service providers that help us run reelnest, such as hosting, storage, email, security, and payment providers.

Your choices

You control what you add and what you share. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of account information by emailing admin@myreelnest.com. Some records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, billing, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Deleting a hosted account may permanently delete hosted files after any stated recovery period.

Children and changes

reelnest is not directed to children under 13. A parent or Nest organizer is responsible for any child profile they create. We may update this policy as the service changes; material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, sent to the account email.

Terms of service

By creating an account or using reelnest, you agree to these terms. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use the service only as permitted by law.

Your content and your responsibility

You keep ownership of your files. You give reelnest only the limited permission needed to store, transmit, back up, organize, display, and share them as you direct. You must own the content you add or have permission to use it. reelnest does not provide movies, music, books, or other media with the service.

Home and hosted service

A Home Nest runs on hardware and internet service you control. A Hosted Nest uses storage and systems managed for reelnest. Availability can be affected by maintenance, internet outages, device failures, third-party services, and events outside reasonable control. Keep an independent copy of irreplaceable files.

Accounts, changes, and termination

You are responsible for activity under your account and for people you invite. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, enforce these terms, respond to legal process, or protect the service. We may change features and limits as the service develops, but we will provide reasonable notice of material changes when practical.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, reelnest is provided “as is” and without warranties not expressly stated here. reelnest is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Any aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to reelnest during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow all of these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Copyright & DMCA policy

reelnest respects copyright and expects members to do the same. Do not upload, copy, stream, or share content unless you own it, have permission, or are otherwise legally allowed to use it. Do not use reelnest to bypass digital-rights controls or distribute unauthorized copies.

Copyright notices

If you believe material available through reelnest infringes your copyright, email admin@myreelnest.com with: your signature; identification of the copyrighted work; identification and location of the claimed material; your contact information; a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.

Counter-notices and repeat infringement

If material was removed by mistake, you may send a legally complete counter-notice to the same address. We may forward notices and counter-notices to the affected parties. We maintain a policy of terminating repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and may remove or disable access to material when required.

Acceptable-use policy

Do not use reelnest to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; distribute malware; exploit children; threaten or harass people; evade security controls; interfere with networks; send spam; impersonate others; or store or share unlawful content. Do not probe or test the service without written authorization. We may investigate suspected abuse while limiting access to private content to what is legally and technically necessary.

Billing, cancellation & refunds

Paid plans renew monthly or yearly at the price shown at checkout, plus any tax that we are required to collect. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel. You may cancel before the next renewal; access continues through the paid period unless the service states otherwise.

Fees are generally non-refundable except when required by law or expressly stated at purchase. Contact admin@myreelnest.com promptly if you believe a charge is incorrect. If a payment fails, we may retry it, ask for another payment method, restrict paid features, or end hosted storage after providing any notice required by law.

Security

reelnest uses layered safeguards that include account authentication, encrypted connections, and encryption for hosted files while stored. No service can promise absolute security. You should use a strong, unique password, enable two-factor authentication when available, protect recovery information, and keep another copy of irreplaceable files. Report a suspected security issue privately to admin@myreelnest.com.
